Creamy Garlic Herb Chicken with Cheesy Penne Pasta

Ingredients

For the Garlic Herb Chicken

1 lb chicken thighs or chicken breast pieces

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional: crushed red pepper

For the Creamy Cheesy Penne

2 cups cooked penne pasta

1 tbsp butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)

1 cup shredded cheddar or favorite cheese blend

¼ cup grated parmesan

½ tsp Italian seasoning

Salt & pepper, to taste

1. Cook the Chicken

Season the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

Add butter to the pan and spoon the melted herb butter over the chicken.

Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. Make the Creamy Cheesy Pasta

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic.

Pour in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently.

Add cheddar and parmesan, stirring until smooth and creamy.

Add the cooked penne pasta and toss until evenly coated.

3. Serve

Plate the creamy pasta next to the herb-butter chicken.

Spoon any leftover pan drippings over the top for extra flavor.

Recipe Notes

Use your favorite short pasta shape if you don’t have penne.

For a thicker sauce, simmer the cream mixture a bit longer before adding cheese.

Add crushed red pepper for a spicy kick.
