Chayote (also called christophine or chouchou) is a light vegetable rich in nutrients. This simple juice is refreshing, hydrating, and can easily be included in a balanced diet.
Ingredients (1 glass)
1 fresh chayote
1 glass of water (200–250 ml)
Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
1 small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
1 teaspoon natural honey (optional)
Preparation
Wash the chayote thoroughly under running water.
Cut it into small pieces (there is no need to peel it).
Place the pieces in a blender.
Add the water and ginger.
Blend for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
Add the lemon juice and mix well.
Strain if you prefer a lighter juice.
Serve immediately to enjoy the maximum nutrients.
